Wealth and Poverty

Part scriptural analysis, part compassionate musing, and part academic study, Back to Eden brings together academic research, Christian theology, and universal human emotions to examine how our financial status affects our way of life and our treatment of others.

Starting with a broad analysis of how certain scriptural passages can be interpreted through the lens of our human capacity for love, compassion, righteousness, and humility, author Dr. Thiessen moves with increasing specificity into a detailed, succinct, and thoroughly researched examination of how our perspective towards those less fortunate is directly related to our relationship with God, not to our financial portfolio.

For those who seek to deepen their relationship with God and to better understand how His teachings encourage compassion, generosity, and open heartedness, Back to Eden not only provides the academic and scriptural foundation to accomplish this, but it also weaves each lesson through a prism of human experience, allowing these teachings to be understood and identified by any who are willing to learn.

Through deep analysis and thoughtful consideration of theological literature and select scripture, Dr. Thiessen’s work weaves a story that aspires to educate, enlighten, and inspire.

Is There Anything Missing In The Bible

In Scribal Skips, the author presents a list of verses from Genesis to Revelation with words restored that have evidence of having fallen out of manuscripts from scribal skips. A Wonderful Must Read Book

In My Mind is a compilation of poems and short stories written by Paul Tremewan, a much loved teacher from Flint, Michigan, towards the end of his life and his fierce battle against a horrible degenerative disease; rapid onset Bulbar type ALS.

The poems include Paul's musings and prayers chronicling the last two years of his life; his struggle and faith while coming to grips with his mortality and the hereafter. The short stories are a collection of inspirational anecdotes from Paul's career as teacher, which he would fondly retell to his friends and family from time to time.

These stories give the reader a glimpse into the experiences, wisdom, humor and the genuine caring soul Paul was while on this earth. These were put to paper before Paul’s passing so they would not be lost to posterity and so they can be shared with the world.

In My Mind shares the thoughts, prayers and short stories of a brilliantly sharp mind trapped in the failing body of a bed ridden, dying man. The hope of this book is to continue Paul’s legacy of service and caring for other people, to serve as a source of light to those struggling with terminal illness or life crisis, as well as an inspiration to people of faith.
